I was at a bookstore one day and was reading a book about Hitlers SS field commanders....a large coffeetable format book by Schiffer. One annecdote related to Hitler having lunch in the field and he requested what was referred to as a favorite provincial, low alcohol, Pilsner called "Fachinger". I looked into it and found references to a well known mineral water by that name. I was curious too as to whether there was a brewery by that name that did, in fact, make a low alcohol Pilsner that Hitler liked as I knew he was a tee totaller.

From there one can walk down the Rosenheimer Strasse to trace the marchers' route to the FHH. Many of the original buildings along the route still stand.

Great thread by the way.

Have drank in the Hilton and walked the route of the march many times. This thread has been superb and thanks to all for showing outstanding pieces

Found this 0.4L mug at a antique show. It seems to have a notch for a lid. It has no other marking.
