Further to my first posting on this thread, the major 1941 shift to Roman lettering as an official position throughout the TR would have been a major boon to the enamel sign-making industry! Understanding that most signage would probably have been in the German Gothic style with Sütterlin used to a lesser degree, here was an opportunity to cash in on re-making all of the street signs, marquees and other public notices all across the country! What a money-maker that must have been!
