    Tapestry

    Thank you, Erich!

What about a fine DHW cultural tapestry which perfectly matches with the plates?

Here we go - if someone might be interested in this one just have a look in the E-stand ;-)

This one might come from the same maker like the one being shown here before by yourself, diameter is 31 cm.

I will probably take this to the local restorer to refresh it to it´s full glory again - some pieces just have too much patina due to bad storage conditions over the decades.
Thorsten, is there any signature or mark on the reverse? I think the one I had was signed in pencil only, no maker.

          Thank you, Gary!

Steve, mine has no maker mark but one can see that once there was a price tag on it´s back as well as a kind of paper maker´s shield fixed with glue but both attached pieces are lost.

            Hi Guys,

Today I had some time and made a bit Luki-Luki in my DHW corner and this is what came out of it:

You can find better close-ups of the DHW tapestry in the E-stand.

A bit more colour for the thread, the rooster, a popular folk art figure. More spirals too :-)

Some nice items being posted here - I missed quite a bit of this. And some nice DHW on the estand I see! Wow.

Could you sing that one for us Thorsten? On youtube maybe? <a href="http://media.photobucket.com/image/farmer smiley/kaytee_13/Icons/Emoticons/smiley_farmer.gif?o=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad227/kaytee_13/Icons/Emoticons/smiley_farmer.gif" border="0"></a>

A folkish chair, something I think the DHW would have sold. Not sure of the origin of the pic but I doubt I could get in trouble for showing a picture of a now defunct Nazi organisation for non-profit intellectual research purposes such as this?

And again DHW I would say, a fancy folk art piece.

                                Hi

what do you think about this?

from my best friend parents house...at first glance it looks communist like, because of the sickle ...but he says its definitly from the TR Period... the style of the Letters looks like it..
It also has a makers mark that I cannot recognize..
for sure a nice piece and very decorative

                                Its says:

                                Dies Brot für Meine Gäste
translated it would be: This Bread for my Guests

                                Thanks
