Thanks Andreas, do you know what they were for, Frauenschaft? The broach at the top was posted by TobyR, (see page8 link) not mine. The brother and sister picture and broach at bottom are mine.

I've not seen any on the web, l expect the pictures above are the first shown, so no real surprise you have not seen it. With swastika's and runes this pattern was likely taken down, even thrown away after the wary, whereas a Lebensbaum or any other of these types of tapestry have nothing nazi about them and so more likely to have survived.

Interesting that the two has different swastikadesigns. Anything else besides color and format that set them apart?

Has there been some resent discovery of a giant stockpile of items with that wikinger-pattern? I notice that even GI has a pillowcase with it now.

There's no stockpile, not that I'm aware of anyway.

GI has been trying to sell that piece a good while now, but its a cushion cover, not that interesting to most I suspect.

Also as far as I'm aware only 4 Wikinger tapestries exist in collections. One in a German collection and has been there for many years, this vertical repeat I just bought from a family in Germany who had a mix of cultural items including a Julleuchter and Weitzel book, all of which have never been in a collections and then the two Wikinger in horizontal repeat, one of which I show above. Both the horizontal repeat patterns came off a flea market last year and went to a German dealer.

No, only the obvious you can see in the pictures.

GI even has a big tree of life tapestry which would be fine if it wouldn´t be so crippled in it´s middle part.

That's for sure, the most important piece cut out, the tree! The site tells us that's how they are made Otherwise very nice piece, as is the cushion cover.
