                  Amazing items!! Really nice.

All the years I've been on WAF I've never ventured into this forum until yesterday to post a thread.

I've been missing out on some fantastic "eye candy".

                  Great items!!

                            Hello René,

Thank you for taking the time to post these latest images ..

You know, there are those who are adamant ALL of these NSFK enameled event badges are not legitimate. There are stories about large numbers of fakes being produced and circulated many years ago. But nobody seems to know exactly which ones these were. It is now common knowledge some of these NSFK event badges are in fact, legitimate. A couple legitimate examples were posted previously in this thread.

I don't have any experience with the ones you have just posted other than the Deutschlandflug 1938 (blue/silver) . In my opinion this may be a a legit example. I just cannot say for sure about the other two. I do not like the rectangular style pin mounting plates .. Both are showing an equal amount of corrosion on the reverse. Kind of makes me wonder .. Also, the facial area of the Icarus seems to be lacking in detail. Both could be legit, but who really knows for sure .. I guess provenance would help. Actually, I think the Deutschlandflug 1938 should have a round pin mounting plate marked Brehmer.

                            All the best ..

                            Mike W.

The 3rd one, I believe made by Gustaf Brehmer looks really nice. thanks for sharing.
