Yes, I am collecting (but not limited to) CBs, Chen. There is so much more to study regarding these badges.

Is that a Coburg badge (top left) on the funeral pillow of Julius Schreck?

Looks like it Martin, plus his Blood Order on the bottom. I would love to own that one, wonder if it is in a collection somewhere

            Hi Martin,

I agree with Jon -- that does appear to be a Coburg Badge on the upper left of the pillow, with a Blood Order at the bottom. I wonder where Schreck's Golden Party Badge was...?? Period photos show him wearing the GPB on his SS uniform so it should have been there, displayed on the first pillow along with his CB and the BO (if there was more than one pillow present).

            Mysteries of history!! Cheers,

A great photo showing Schreck's CB on his funeral pillow. It's the first time I have seen the CB badge on a funeral pillow but then again with so few awarded so it makes sense.

It looks like the 'Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler 1923' sleeve band is on the pillow just above the Blood Order. I'm surprised the BO is at the bottom of the pillow--I would have thought it would be placed higher. Great photo that I've never seen before.

Could the GPB be attached to the BO ribbon?

I suppose that's possible, Martin, though the quality of the photo makes it very difficult to tell what that piece attached to the BO ribbon is. And as I recall seeing other Alte Kämpfer funeral pillows, the GPB was included in both the large and small sizes, since anyone who belonged to a uniformed Party organization would have owned both GPBs.

                        Hello guys,

What is the badge that is in between the GPB and the CB?
Would there be a significance regarding the placement / layout of those badges where the BO is at the lower side of the pillow and other badges placed strategically above, etc.?

I'm sure there was no particular prescribed order to present medals on a funeral pillow and the arrangement was purely aesthetical in nature.

Correction: it should be item 6263.

Top middle badge is a Sportkranz des Ringes der Nationalen Kraftfahrt und Luftfahrt-bewegung.
