No, not at all. the fixing method is also similar to Hakans, same residue around the join. Also as Hakan points out there is a double knurle to the pin, I'm not sure that's something I've observed in the past but must admit to not studying stick pins in depth.

Change of mind ? A couple pages up you said you do not like the gold finished minis.

For me I prefer the bronze version but both are good. Same flaws etc.

This has a gold finish, I think Hakan yours might have even started that colour and worn. The same flaw appears on the lower swastika arm on both pins. Welcome feedback.
Very nice Jon. Here is mine that came with the 1st. type.

Btw. Martin, does your pin has the same double ridged knurl ?
Hard to tell from your pic.

One further image to prove that lighting can change so much an items appearance in photographs.
Great that all 3 pins featured here in this thread have the same unique characteristics.
The pin I'm showing came originally with a large 1st type Coburg badge, the same estate, but owner unknown.

A really nice shot of Schreck wearing his CB. This photo is dated 1933 which was a year before the BO and GPB were awarded.
