Eujin, the only number that's known is about 436 badges were awarded.

Kyle, I own the badge that you speak of. My badge along with an AH GPB thought to be Darre's was liberated from his office by a US Vet and purchased by Steve Wolfe, who I got the badge from. A lot of high ranking officials had medals and badges found in their offices that didn't belong to them, such as Himmler with a German Order and Brueckner with a number of Blood Orders for example.Did it belong to Darre? Who knows, but you're correct that Hitler gave his highest awards out to whom he pleased.

Kyle, again, I'm not convinced that my CB had ever belonged to Darre. In all the photos of him that I have seen, he never once was wearing a Coburg Badge.
