You guys could be right regarding a sports badge. All he needed to be was a party member to be a holder of the BO.

Joe, I have seen photos of guys wearing their GPB next to their CB and in some cases below gold HJ badges. Many it seems didn't follow regulations on the wearing of the GPB.

As I said in my note of yesterday, according to Patzwall's book there is no Wöerlein or Woerlein listed...but how authoritative is Patzwall's book, really?

Sorry, missed that. So how could he have a BO w/o being a party member, then ?

He was a party member, Andreas: #786883. See his listing in the 1938 DAL.

To qualify for the BO you had to be a Party member before 1933 which it seems that he was.

Here's a not often seen photo of Schreck posted on another forum wearing his CB.

A nice and very rare plaque but the crack really bothers me.

I don`t know what happened with that plaque. I ordered it on line pretty much the week it was first shown after discussing it with ErichS ( You may remember Erich?) but heard nothing for about it for months . I was then invited to buy it via an email from Weitze which I declined because of the length of time involved.

                        Jim:

I remember that now Jim and again a very cool piece but I guess I maybe too anal regarding the crack. With that being said, it's the only one that I have seen to date.

Too anal ? Me too, in general, but as scarce a piece as this ? May well be one off, because the lower plate identifies it as a winner's price for the commemorative tournament. Anyone with an idea what that was about ?

To unravel the mystery: I just wired the payment to Weitze.
