      Coburg Plate Count

      Updated Coburg Plate list:

      Plate List

ErichS (1 - has since been sold)
Jon Fish (2 or 3, Found and, I believe sold, one. Not sure if they are 2 different plates)
      Winkler (1 - broken/repaired)
      Auction (1)
      M. Zimmer (2 - one boxed)
      A friend (1)
      I own one (1)
      Ratisbon's (1)
      Griffin Militaria (1)
      Coburg Stadtarchiv (1)
      M. Zimmer's friends (2)
      Military (1)
      Master Bo (2)
Master Bo's friend, Maxim Verakin (1)
Richard V (1- might be same plate from Winkler but not sure)
Jan Stiller (2 boxed - from Kalus Hofmann group)

So that is a maximum of 22 plates. This does not take into account/consideration that some of those listed above might be double counted (i.e. sold by one member and purchased later by someone else and listed again)

A first pattern with replaced needle and some oxidation along with some other nicknack fetched a high bid of 3,800 EUR in an auction on Friday.

Coburg Badge Count (Prototype, Hollow Silver & Type 1)

Coburg Badge Count (Prototype, Hollow Silver & Type 1)

                Updated badge count.

There are 5 different versions of the Coburg badge discussed in this thread (I did not break down the Type 2 by RZM or RZM 189 or different location of RZM mark). Below is my quick compilation of the known badges based off my personal knowledge and after conducting a page by page search of the current 132 pages of this thread:

                Deschler Prototype

Thies (1 - appears to be same one sold thru Weitze years ago)

So that is 1 x Deschler prototype.

Hollow (thought to be fake by some)

                Seen by juoeen (1)

                Wolfe (1)

                Empire Auction (1)

                Total of 3 Hollow versions

Silver Version (originality debated over many pages)

                Rasmussen (1)

Ailsby (1 - from Dodkin collection)

                Total of 2 silver versions

                Type 1

                Erich B (1)
                Stan (1)
                Wolfe (1)
                Kyle Harrington (1)
                Bob Hritz (2)
                Coburg (1)
                HH Auction (3)
                Kai Winkler (1)
                Weitze (1 - Screwback)
                Martin M (1)
                Der-Hase-Fee (2)
                Mijke (1)
                Transvision (1)
                SOS (2)
Greg Domain (1 - double rings on lugs)
Munich Dealer (1 - with double pins)
                Jon Fish (1)
                Frank Scholtz (1)
                Military (2)
                Steve C (1)
                SMV (1)
                Chen (1)
                Gary B (1 - former Erich S collection)
                Dealer (1)
                Jason Burmeister (1)
                M Zimmer (1 - broken tower, sold)
In auction Jan 2019 (Reported by der-hase-fee)

So that is a maximum of 33 Type 1s. This does not take into account/consideration that some of those listed above might be double counted (i.e. sold by one member and purchased later by someone else and listed again)

Unknowns (Appeared original but not sure whether Type 1 or 2)

                  Unknown (1)
                  Kai Winkler (1)
                  John T (1)

A total of 65 badges identified in the thread as Type 1, 2 or unknown type.

An "interesting" thread on the Coburg badge in the SS section where a few collectors are doubting the originality of all 2nd pattern Coburg badges because there is not a manufacturer number with the RZM stamp:

Well, I have both types. First pattern size is 55,4mm x 40,1mm, Second pattern is 55,4mm x 40,0mm. Both have the same die flaw.
