Thanks I did not know of that one. So the updated list is as follows:

ErichS owned one which has since been sold (1)

Jon Fish found, and I believe sold, one (1 or 2)
(not sure if they are 2 different plates)

    Winkler had a broken/repaired one (1)

    One sold in auction (1)

    M. Zimmer owns 2 (one boxed) (2)

    A friend owns one (1)

    I own one (1)

    Ratisbon's just auctioned one (1)

    Griffin Militaria (1)

So that is a maximum of 11 plates. This does not take into account/consideration that some of those listed above might be double counted (i.e. sold by one member and purchased later by someone else and listed again)

                      Mil,

Congrats!!! When did you pick up one? Is this a new one or one already listed on the list (i.e. from Ratisbon's)?

I once saw a postcard with Hitler at Coburg with autographs of all those in his inner circle who participated in the March. Wish I would have purchased it!

Thanks for your explanation of this organization, M. Zimmer. A further check on Wikipedia produces a few background pieces on this organization -- the deutschvölkichen Schutz -und Trutzbundes -- which apparently existed between 1919 and 1924, when the NSDAP was also banned following the Putsch. I am curious about this group's use of the swastika, as we see on their banner -- "The Schutz- und Trutzbund used as its symbols a blue cornflower and a swastika..." -- was this simply a coincidence or was Hitler influenced by this organization in his own development of the swastika?

As far as I know, the Swastika was the Symbol of re antisemitic Thule-society, founded 1919 After the First WW, for the NSDAP the swastikaflag is known since 1920.in other Cultures the swastika is a Symbol for a perfect live, like in India/Hinduism
