Very nice Gran. But what does it say on the front? Do you think it was given to the winner of a DDAC race?

        Regards, Mike

For the race champion of 1934/35 ?

                      DDAC Club Membership Disc?

Here's one just acquired today...an enamelled oval DDAC insignia mounted with rivet-pins on a bakelite backing (approx. 4.5 cm. in length & width) and lettering on brass which reads: "ORTSGR. / MANNHEIM".

Perhaps for a keychain?...or an official disc of sorts?

                      Any comments will be appreciated.

                      Thanks,

                      John

Mike Clayton and I have conferred on this item above and both feel it to be period original. Our thinking is, as suggested above, it could be a keychain disc or similar. The German translation of the lettering on the item seems to be: Local Group / Mannheim (ie. the Mannheim Branch of the DDAC). Not sure if this disc could have any other official significance. Comments welcome.

                        Thanks,

                        John

All nice items John....especially the small enamel DDAC emblem in the center. I believe that one is for a member who owns a motorcycle. I've never seen one. Those have to be pretty scarce.

                            Regards, Mike

Thanks for posting the close-up pixs John. That little emblem looks like it had a Helleva ride in the past. Hopefully a nice example will surface one day. But at least we know there out there! Thanks again.

                                Regards, Mike
