Although surviving examples as well as documentation for this model is practically non existent, it appears that there were 2 versions of this type.
One version had the leather strap attached to a ring at the base of the grip as below, whilst the other example like mine above, had the strap fixed around the grip. The example minus the strap ring attachment may have been an improved model.Attached FilesLast edited by SiPo; 06-29-2015, 08:17 AM.

Quite the opposite actually. The vast majority do not have any markings at all. Occasionally, August Schwarz marked examples can be found but these are very, very scarce indeed. Be very wary of any marked SA/SS/RZM.

I just purchased a D.R.P.a. marked sipo baton. This is the 2nd I've owned but the first I have ever seen with the patent pending marking. Any idea on when it would have been made? Early 30's
