          Hello again,

          I didn't post a link; that's my signature.

I would like to see more architecture, i.e. buildings.

The image you posted is exactly what I am talking about

What are the ideal dimensions, resolution, etc. for a scanned photo to use for colourization? Once I know that I'll post a link to a few possible images to use.
            Thanks!

Love those KM pictures Alex! Thanks for posting! It's amazing how colour adds a new perspective to these historical photos, somehow giving them an accessible immediate "being there" sensation.

            Best Regards,
            Norm

Thanks Norm, to answer your question, the bigger and clearer the better, lets you get down to the more intricate bits easier

One final image before I bow out for a rest.

Young lad glad to be alive and survived the horrors of war. He seems quite happy.

                        Matrose on Graf Spee

I have to share this one. Alex just did an amazing job on this interesting portrait of a Matrose radio man serving on the Admiral Graf Spee in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War.
                        Regards,

                              Fantastic!!!

Alex, I just saw yor images, they look like modern pictures taken today. I first thought that I must be looking at a digital picture of a re-enactor.
You have a fantatic talent. I will have to search back on this thread to see some of your oter works.

                                Well done Alex!

Hear hear! Alex, these seem really professional and realistic.
I especially like this one you did of the war-weary Soldat with the grungy collar tabs and the KVKII ribbon. Because of your research and attention to detail, these photos become useful historical references for uniform wear, as well as works of art!
                                Best regards,
