      Well, I hate explaining jokes...

If you don't get my point then it would be pointless for me to explain...

Suffice it to say, it was meant to be good spirited fun..."I meant no
disrespect to SERIOUS collectors of vintage photographs, the families
of vintage photograph collectors, or the friends and associates of
      vintage photgraph collectors..."

P.S. Errol Flynn was not a Nazi sympathizer and Mel Gibson is not an
      alcoholic.

Actually... I saw the funny side of your alteration of my photo only after I looked at it twice.
My apologies if I upset you.

        Here's another colourized panzerjaeger portrait.

        Cheers,

Well, sir...I wasn't offended or upset by your query. I am a consummate
wise-ass. I had just finsihed looking at the holocaust pictures from
another thread and my only way to get out of my anxiety was to do
something funny. I had family members who saw the results of "the
          little corporal's"
final solution and took years just to be able to talk
about their experiences. My sense of humor is what keeps me sane.

By they way...I have developed a joke that will get anyone who tells
it immediate sympathy and just as quickly, immediate shock and hatred.

Here goes...Next time you are discussing the war with a group of
enthusiasts: (With a pained and mournful look on your face)
Mention the fact you lost a relative in the camps during the war...
pause for their reaction and sympathies...when it dies down...tell
them that he fell out of a guard tower while cleaning his MG42. Then
run like hell!! Guaranteed they will remember you for the rest of
          their lives.

You guys are amazing! Are there any online guides on how to do this? I would love to do my grandparents wedding photo as a gift to my mom - my Opa was looking good in uniform!
                    Thanks!
