Outstanding Steve! looks like a period image. I only wish I was 1/2 that skilled.

        Hi,

Have been "out of the loop" so to speak since my wife and I moved to Australia. I have had no internet connection until recently.

I still have found time to color a few photos.

These photos have been posted in various threads in B&W.

First one is an MG crew on alert in a forest near Leningrad.
Photo from an Inf. Rgt. 154 (58 Inf. Div.) album.

        Cheers,
        Larry

How long have you been training to get that result?

Can you do this by Trial or is the FUll version MUCh better?

                Hi Sturmkreuz,

I cannot speak for the other contributors to this thread.

I have had no training. I taught my self, made many mistakes, have taken guidance from other forum members and gradually got better at it.

It's something I enjoy doing and I enjoy seeing other member's contributions.

                Cheers,

                Larry

                  SS colorized.

I am amazed this thread is still going and happy to see many out there honing their skills. Many great additions.

Imagine my surpise last week when visiting German sites to find an image I did almost a decade ago put up as a real color photograph from WW2. Here is it with my initials still attached. This is from my college days of Computer Graphics. I never liked what I did with the dodging tool on the cigarette as it looks cheesy to me...but hey, I have learned since then.

My Barkmann colorized has made the rounds as well.

                  Enjoy.

One of the great tools in Photoshop is the ability to choose variations, same image, darkened using more magenta.

but just a litte advice, maybe the eyes could be a little blue instead of bright green.

If you guys have nothing to color, I'll throw some into the party:

I'm making another site (not for our museum, personal about Winterbattles and live during the winter)

I'd appreciate it if you guys can help colouring them photos:
You can resize them if you want !
YOU'LL BE CREDITED ON THE SITE THEN!!
                                Mail: webmaster@winter-offensive.be
