These guys are RAD soldiers and they are doing a mock (fun) funeral of France being put to the grave ... presumably shortly after the capitulation of France in 1940? Cheers, Torsten.

have no clue as to the orgin of this set, vichy france maybe?

very odd coffin setup with cross and paper on it, plus a french helmet?

any guess as to what or who died??

Refering to post #821 left grave:
I found this entry in the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge - stating his grave is somewhere in Russia - Belarus area. Most probably lost...

Would be nice to get all these pictures and death cards merged into the database of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge. A mega task and most valuable for research. Could be possible if we all would work together somehow.
