impressive collection you have there.

I noticed some are the typical 'posing for home soldiers ' pictures just like the jonger guys still make over here in Afghanistan today.

Do you happen to have pictures made around German airfields in Holland like Fliegerhorst Leeuwarden or Gilze-Rijen perhaps ?

Hmmm that is a tough question to answer as I have loads of groupings of photos but going through them to identify a certain Airfield in Holland would be a nightmare!! I have a recent album I picked up from a German soldier posted in Holland in 1940...most of the photos are around Breda but I will look again.
You are absolutely right about the posing for home photos as I have some of myself when I joined the Army and sent them home to the family. I also have some with the Wife and my Son just like you see in many of the portraits I posted on my thread. Cheers
