Why does this pic keep getting circulated? It looks like some sort of cheesey 70's porn that has no relevence in a thread like this.

Well I guess cause the young girls are pretty. Gran how do you know it isn't wartime? It was taken sometime in the thirties at least. At any rate I think it's a great pic. Wish I had the original pic in my collection.

And second, its not a wartime pic

Agreed--it is from a postwar German movie from the 1950s.

This is an interesting grouping that was listed on eMedals. It is for a German national who was living with her parents in China during the war. She attended an international school, which included Americans, and she eventually married one of her classmates, emigrated to the USA, and became a Marine after the war.

Her name was Margarete Marianne Staretschek, and she was a member of the BDM:

She was very striking in her marine uniform:

She was in the Ausland Org of the BDM, in China, then after their take over she was under Japanese Control, then liberated by the USMC, and keeping a diary of her more than friends in the USMC and marrying one, coming to the States and joins the Woman's USMC Reserve. a very interesting history. I sold the group to EMedals (Barry Turk) Regards, Ed.

The film "Idiocracy" was originally released as a comedy. Now it has been re-released as a documentary.
