Yes...It is U-37 under the command of Nicolai Clausen. She is returning to Germany (suspected to be Kiel) after her last patrol 3/41. The damage to the tower is suspected to be from a slight collision with HMS Walker when she dove with only 100 yards away from the destroyer. That was the same battle where Prien, Matz, Schepke, and Kretchmer were lost.

There was a documentary on that battle on TV last week. It credited a change in tactics by the escort destroyers which was unexpected by the U-Boat commanders. The loss of talent was pretty much a disaster for Donitz.
