Here are a few POW photos from the photo album of Walter Pertle, which has photos from his early RAD days in the 1930's, through his joining the SS-Div. Germania, his transfer to the Nord Div right through his time in a POW camp.

First a photo of Walter in his prime as a member of SS-Germania in 1941.

Now here he is with his comrades in a POW camp. There is a sign infront of them, I can amost make out the first line it looks like "FREUNDSCHALBS"? I could be way off though.

Unfortionatley I haven't been able to ID where the camp was, but I'm assuming western Europe as the conditions aren't as bad as those in the East.

No, definitely not starving. This really dosen't seem like such a bad place, I mean as far as Prisoner Of War camps go.
