Bill, where did you get #1505? The reason I am asking is my father was there that day and took some photos as well. He might be the man by the gate as I have a closer photo of those two very Germans in this photo. Small world?

I believe there about four photos and I got them off ebay. They are probably buried in my box of POW photos as it has been sometime since I posted them.

Photo precedes captivity as remarked on the reverse.

The shoulder boards appear to have NCO tresse but not the collar. Can see clear indication of career progression from the discontinued wear of the gefreiter insignia.
