I owe Graeme a HUGE thank you for sending me a PM about a German eBay auction. The seller was offering 99+ band photos all from the same guy. Well, guess who the guy in the photos was? It was our pal Emil (see post #103). The seller who bought these had sorted them out and forgot about the remainder of the photos. With Graeme's keen eye I have managed to reunite this young mans photos and keep it all together.
I mentioned to the seller that I bought his first lot of photos and he said when he found these that he looked for my email address, but it was from so long ago that he removed it from his files. Oh, well, it worked out good in the long run.
Anyway....there ended up being more than 100 photos as the seller made sure it was all he had of Emil's. There were even some quartering slips of where he was assigned to stay and sleep if anyone whats to see. I wont post all of them (unless you really want me too) as many are not band related. Just some great pictures of life as a musician in the RAD and Wehrmacht.
So here he is again. Emil, his friends, and his band!!
Again, not a band photo, but I had to share this. I know many guys who used to collect beer coasters or labels. Seems the hobby is nothing new. A 1941 calander, few picture on the wall of loved ones, and a collection of beer logos!
