Small and provincial street on the outskirts of Stalingrad destined to go down in history.
      31. Januar 1943, in Stalingrad the Southern group of 6 armies capitulated. At 12.30 Generalfeldmarschall Friedrich Wilhelm Ernst Paulus (on the left), Generalleutnant Arthur Schmidt and oberst Wilhelm Adam (right of Paulus) are delivered in a staff of 64 armies for interrogation. Generalmajor Hans-Georg Leyser (at the left), kdr. 29 ID (mot), in Beketovka. It is surprising to see that one wooden house remained up to now.
January 31, 1943. Kalanchyovskaya Street, Beketovka, Stalingrad.

Alex, they are fantastic comparisons! It's incredible that the wooden house still stands and looks exactly the same!

I now have to look up why Leyser was in Beketovka. I did not know he was taken down there, too.

                          Great work!

                                Thanks to all.
                                To Jason:
I remember, general Laskin, in memoirs, remembers that Leyser and Fritz Roske were delivered in Beketovka by the evening on January 31. They were brought by the deputy general Laskin, lieutenant colonel Mutovin. But Mutovin, in his book, calls only Roske surname.
This is all that I remember.
