The writer (Georg ?)is telling about his trip to and his arrival in Belgium (the town in cannot make out) and about his personal situation there.
40.000 inhabitants in the town, one can buy all things without food - for those you need food stamps. He wants to buy suiting. ..
Nex evening he will sent a longer letter. He is sleeping together with other 100 soldiers in a great hall in a simple bed with wooden furniture. The franc changes 8 (Reichs)Mark - this is more than in France...
Kind regards to your and my parents..

For me it is very difficult to read (and translate) the whole text because of his individual handwriting..
