Ive had this feldpost letter for a while and never looked at it closely , now I realize they might be to a Kurt Pfeiffer who was appointed A mayor by the USA military government in 1944 , maybe anyway ,

      Maybe this person
      https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Pfeiffer_(Kaufmann)

Can I please get a brief description of what this letter contains ?
      Appreciate it.

Well, due to some sort of mistake that became apparent after it happened, they've been in Karlsruehe for 2 weeks. The accomodations/quarters are good, and there's enough to do in the area. They changed out a couple of their officers, otherwise everything is pretty much the same. Greetings & so forth.'

He's writing to a former member of his unit. He's happy the other man got into a unit where he can actually perform his duties as a Funker. He says it sounds like the new unit is living like "God in France" (a German saying meaning living high on the hog, so to speak). The unit the writer is in (the recipient's former unit) came out of Czechoslovakia, and that's where it goes to the other side.

                Hello,

Could this signature be from an Oberleutnant named Ratzer?

                Thanks for your help!

Then I can confirm it is the signature of DKIG recipient Werner Ratzer of the 21. Panzer-Division.

The bottom half reads "naechster Fam(ilie) Angehoeriger". So it probably has something to do with an event in the family. Hopefully somebody will get the top half.
