Wait a minute!!!! I just noticed something: This is not actually Russian, its... well, "fake" Russian - German text spelt in the cyrillic alphabet!

    It says:

"...Viktoria. Es war eine se(h)r schöne Zeit, eine Zeit voller Liebe."

    meaning...

"...Viktoria. It was a very beautiful time, a time full of love."

        very difficult to read!

        Rick,

the text comes from the page with entries dealin with "Bekleidung" - clothes.

The first word could be "getr." - getragen - worn (clothes) and the last one "erl." - erledigt - done. But this is only a shot.

The third word could start with "Porti..." or "Perti.."

The rest of the text: sorry, no idea

        Gerdan
Thanks, it might be something like this: ???? Eis. Portionen erh.
Which would mean: ???? eiserne Portionen erhalten.
And in english: ???? Iron ration received.

Can anyone read the signature? I was thinking of Baumann but I am certainly not sure.

                1. I would read "This" too
                2. Could be "Rauh"

May be the first signature you can also read "Thie".

I read "e" as tha last letter, not "s".

(In the Volksbund list you find 120 entries "This" and 9646 entries "Thie")

                  The other one is "Rauh"

The signature of the Major could be: Maie(er) ? After "Mai" it could be "n" or an "e" or?
