I need some help with the ranks on page 1 of a Soldbuch.

                      I think:

                      1. SchĂĽtze
                      2. OberschĂĽtze
                      3. Gefreiter
                      4. Unteroffizier
                      5. Reserve Offizier Bewerber *unknown word*
                      6. ???????
                      7. ???-Feldwebel
                      8. ??????
                      9. Leutnant

And, any idea what the "III G" means? is it the abbreviation of a function?
Is it an American function? (He was captured by the Americans).
I'm trying to find out what his function was, he has no combat awards.

I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

                            German English translation.

                            Hello.
I'm not sure I'm in the right area but it seemed the most apt. Please move to a more relevant section if need be.

I have a document promoting Hauptmann Daum to a Major. I've done some research and have found a website with someone with some documents for this fellow that includes a photo of him and I really want that picture.
Unfortunately the site is German. I've tried to contact the owner but even finding the 'private message' option was difficult !
Can any speakers of both German and English help me out by translating some stuff for me ?
