The first word could be a name - than "Kptltn" (?) abbreviation of Kapitänleutnant ?

Could the first word be something like "congratulations" ?
Its almost as if it's then followed by kptlt *name* and the name was crossed out to be replaced by "EK1"

even if it is very difficult for me to read the text I will start an attempt:

            " Herzlicher / Herzlichst Soldaten (?) Gruß von Rud(?) (Rudi / Rudolf ??) "

May be others are more successful.

Today I decided to prise my (?Railway?) clock out of the wood work, -literally and I found some writing on the back, There some writing near the top, in the middle but it is badly obscured, only the bottom row is legible (well sorta) is it a name of a person or a station? It looks like it was hand scratched onto the aluminium base.

              Cheers

Hello, I've got 4 Nahkampftagen listed in this SB of a guy in the FJR13, the Nahkampftage are for Normandy. However I find it difficult to read the names of the towns/villages. And there I am not formilar with the French language I was hoping to get some help here.

On entry 17.7.44 I can read; angriff von Les Mesnil ....(?) auf ,,.............(?)" 200m nordlich punkt 40.

                      Thanks in advance,

                      Nick
