The soldier was in Italy, from that point of view it is surely possible.

Thanks for your fast answer! It is a plane, so ''Maschine" must be correct. I thought Maschine, but the "M" I was not sure about and therefore doubting also some other letters.

This photo came into my hands at 1951-04-10.

It is the last photo George sent to us.

In the night of June 5th to 6th the invasion in France began. At June 8th his troops noticed that he was missing. It's a shame with this very talented boy.

They had to write this to mum.
