Yes MikeW I noticed. In fact thanks to Russ a while back we determined that is IS the same t-34. That was what I was alluding to in my post #396, as I always enjoy a little detective work like this.

#424 is I think Czech Škoda LT-35, Panzer_35(t) when used by the germans.

It had a very distintive gun/recoil arrangment.

So I guess it could be an Allied tank of sorts?

I may have posted this before. The name on the front of this French tank appears to be 'Cambon'. Does anyone happen to know anything about this partuclar tank? I was not able to find anything about it on the internet.

Hi Todd, using my rusty schoolboy French, it gives the unit and commander that the tank belonged to, vehicle number and the date and location.

Lost in the marshes of Gisy (15 km in the North-West of Laon), with the return to Chivres after the attack on Moncornet on May 17, 1940.

What could have caused the little holes on pic 470? Was that tank so light it could be pierced by shrapnel or small arms fire? If so, I don't think I'd want to go anywhere in a French tank of that era.
