#1323 - The 110th Infantry Division was quartered in the Mannheim/Heidelberg Area. Turley, Patton and Campbell Barracks were the Kasernes that contained the barracks and headquarters of the 110th ID. Campbell Bks was called Grossdeutschland Kaserne during the German occupation and renamed Campbell after an American soldier who was KIA. Many Kasernes were renamed post-war after fallen GI's and in Patton Bks named after General Patton who died in the 130th Station Hospital (Nachtrichten Kaserne during the war) just down the road from Campbell Bks.
