          Nice to see this kind of shot in a postcard-sized format. I don't typically purchase Tropical photos but I liked this one.

                        The straps with the "E" cypher and number in white is actually for "Erganzung" or replacement troops (Infantry). This designation was used during the rapid expansion of the Heer during the mid thirties to avoid drawing attention to the flagrant violation of troop limitations imposed by the Treaty of Versailles.
