17.OAL in Milowitz : 4.10.44-13.2.45 seems not to match with Archi datas.... Comes from old Hand notices from me

Concerning the 18.OAL, who seems to be the latest one, I have other dates than Admiraal, at least for the Fhj-Sch.4 d.Panzertruppen in Bamberg : 10.2.45 - 10.5.45. Note the Fhj-Fw thereafter was KIA on 10.4.45, his grave nowadays in Kitzingen.

                Hello all !

Many thanks to Lionel for this great assistance !
It closes almost all the gaps.
But I also thank all others that made many good contributions as Admiraal, naxos and Angel .

Below you'll find an updated list. Some remarks on that list :
                - There seemed to be 3 courses every year
                - duration ~roughly 13-14 weeks with some minor variations (and a few exceptions)
                - I think from mid 1944 onward, there are indiciations that the courses are no longer at the same time
for all existing schools (Therefore the ????, but more info/examples would be needed).

=> It is very surprising, that NO info is available for the 8. O.A.Lehrgang, in late 1941 ! I assume a lot of Wehrpasses
should be around, covering that timeframe ?!

Any further examples would be welcome !

Thanks to all and best regards,

                Archi

Great resume of the info available till now, thanks a lot Archi, as always you are so helpful.

With the Wehrpass I have I can add this info:

6 O.A. January 15th till April 30th, 1.941 for a soldier serving with Panzer Artillerie Regiment 73, he failed the course and returned to his unit as Wachmeister. (Jürgen Koke). In Lehrstab fur die Artillerie Schule, Lehrgamg I (Not mentioned in the name, but also must be in Juterborg as there he passed all trial for the DRL sportsabzeichen in bronze during the extend of the curse)

7 O.A. June 04 till September 3rd, 1.941 for a soldier also serving with Panzer Artillerie Regiment 73, pass the exams and was promoted with seniority of August 1st, 1.941 (Gerd Jahn). In Lehrgang fur der Panzer Atillerie Schiesslehrgänge der Artillerieschule Juterborg.

11 O.A. October 12th till December 15th, 1.942 for a soldier serving with Heeres Kusten Artillerie Abteilung 789, pass the exams and was promote with seniority of December 1st, 1.942 (Horst Cruel) In Artillerie Schiessschule Lehrgang II Thorn.

15 Fhj. December 8th, 1.943 till March 15th, 1.944 for a soldier serving with Panzergrenadier 66 (Helmut Schumann DKiG) In Fahnenjunker Lehrgang 3 der Panzertruppen Lehrgang I and later from March 28th till July 4th, 1.944 in Schule fur Fahnenjunker der Panzertruppen Oberfahnrichlehrgang 7 Insp. He was promoted to Leutnant with seniority of April 1st, 1.944. He served with Oberfahnrich Schule 1 der Panzertruppen from July 5th till end of the war in Potsdamm-Krampnitz.

18 Fhj. February 20th, 1.945 and not notated when it finished, this was the same soldier who attended the 6 O.A. and still serving with the same unit. In Schule für Fahnenjunker der Artillerie Lehrgang II. He passed the exams and was promoter with seniority April 20th, 1.945.

If I find more info I will update this thread.

                    Hello Angel !

Many thanks for the kind words and also for the additional examples !

Your additional examples are very important !
In general, they confirm the above list. The only slight difference is for 7. O.A.-Lehrgang at the
                    "Schiesslehrgänge of Artillerieschule Jüterbog".
I think I found a similar example, that also shows that the courses at that part of the school, were a little bit later
than the "regular" ones. But of course, this needs more examples for confirmation !

So, any addition to this thread is welcome !

                    Best regards,

                    Archi

I have been surfing the forum and find some Wehrpass that match the dates from some of the curses, attached scans and links to the several pieces previously shown.

Three examples for the 2 O.A. and one for the 3 O.A.

                            Hello Angel !

Great job and excellent additional information !
                            Fantastic, many thanks .

After going through them, I think all those entries are in accordance with the list up to the 15th OA/Fhjk. Lehrgang.
For courses after that one, there maybe major deviations, but this still has to be checked in more detail.

                            Thanks again and best regards,

Maybe I'm a bit late but here are two officers I have, both early war officers.
I don't read these too well , I assume from previous posts it's mainly page 21 that shows officers courses but I'll post a couple extra with promotions and units to be more thorough. (and his pic for curiosity sake)
                              Here's no. 1
