    This is the reality........... time waits for no man, not even the great ones.

    I was completely unprepared for the email from Martin informing me that Siegfried had passed. Especially considering the letter on my desk that I had just gotten from him.

    Siegfried was a good man, a kind friend, and he will be greatly missed.

      last week i received a letter from siegfried.
      he wrote the next odr meeting will be close to me and we`ll see us there again.
      and now, one week later he´s gone.

        2 GREAT MEN Herrn Brosow and Herrn Mitschke, our thoughts shoud be with their familys at this time.

        does any one know if their are Ritterkreuztraeger like Siegfried who spent 10
        years as a Russian POW STILL ALIVE OR WAS HE THE LAST?

                          Phil, thank you for your answer! Thats really sad to hear with Mr. Eisele... If I'm right, he was one of the last living KCH that was awarded with the Nahkampfspange in Gold?

                              That is sad news, we had corresponded for some years about his service with Radfahr Abteilung 1 and a good friend of his, also a RKT.

                              R.I.P. Herr Kolczyk.
