I have bad news! I was o veteran meeitng in Bad Wimpfen from 30.10 to 2.11.
Participant of this meeting was also Ritterkreuzträger Max Zastrow, with whom I spoke even 31.10. evening and the next day he died in his hotel room!
Very sad event that happened during this great Ritterkreuzträger meeting....

Very sad to hear this. How tragic to die during this 3 day meeting with his comrades. May he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear that Max has gone i have many memories of him at OdR meetings , he was one of the two RKT who sponsored me for my OdR Membership.

Visited with Kurt Sametreiter yesterday. Hip issues have greatly reduced his mobility, but the head and heart are strong!

Went with some Xmas wishes and pressies! (included a DVD of original footage, some of which shows Kurt in January 1945, just prior to when he went back to active service). We also took the time to do some final research to cover the final aspects needed for the second volume of his photo book. Will start the work on this very soon, as just doing the last appendices for RK Vol. 4. Watch the forum for further updates................
