That is the standard badge being worn by Schnaufer. I have never seen a photo of him wearing one and the family does not have one in their possesion with all his other decorations. It makes one wonder whether he actually received one at all now.

Indeed Mark, my mistake. I've been told by other sources that he never got the PO badge with diamonds.

Schnaufer's name has appeared on every official list I have seen including some by Dohle and Kleitmannm but as no photo exists and the family does not have one when they have all the others -- it does make one think that maybe he did not get one. But as all other Luftwaffe KC Diamonds recipients received one from Goering, it just seems logical that he would have been given one. It may be possible that the decoration was taken from him when he was captured by the British at wars end as was Baumbach's.
