Yes, last night as I went to bed I thought I heard the distant sound of a thousand cabinet doors opening and closing as people checked their Juncker para badges . Any more pics out there?

Jos, certainly YOU must have an original for us to compare

Here is a nice original Juncker Para Badge.

Just let me know if you want to see some more detailed pics of this badge.

            Noted similarities...

... between my Junker and Pascal's with regard to the swas, is that there is a tooling mark on the inside of the LHS arm (nine o'clock posn) on the swas. As well, you will notice the the NW arm of the swas when viewed from the front is narrower than the other arms.

Detlev in his weekly repro report a few weeks ago had posted a pic of the reverse of an original Junker - same thing, NW arm was thinner than the others.

Here's a second I have, only on a J2 silver wreath. I still have a hard time even trying to believe yours is fake Andy! There's too many things right with it IMO.

                      Andy,

your badge looks good ,nice clear details, no strange parts , tombak is okay, measurements ? .......maybe you wrote them in some answer before.....you can compare with some of nice showed here. Unfortunately ( but not for me ) I have an early with thin wreath to compare with yours. I think yours is not very early, maybe middle war time, just before zinc types.

I am not really late into this thread, I was watching holding my breath. From the first moment I looked at the badge I liked it and still think that first impression was right after all that was written and shown.
I just cannot believe fakes are THAT perfect, even the cast ones.

                        Cheers, Frank

                          Hello Gentlmen,

I have also been watching this thread develope. The issues brought forth are interesting speculation. But the badge posted by Andy is original IMHO. I think that we are splitting hairs on this one. I agree with some of the references made to the subtle differences, but I think that is all they are is subtle differences and nothing more.

                          Best regards,
                          JD

                            Hi guys,

The para arrived back at my place yesterday. I spent a lot of time with my 10x looking it over.
It still looks good to me. I must admit though, this is the only Juncker Para I've ever owned. I've been lucky enough to handle a ton of Juncker pilot's, Ro/Ag's, and Obs and I see a lot in the para that I like. The para has a different wreath and obviously the eagle is different, so I could only compare manufacturing styles and finish techniques. I assume this badge is somewhat later than most of my early Junckers.
I took a bunch of big pics and cropped them to suit the 650x650 pixel limitations. These pics were taken without a flash and the only thing I did to them was crop them down to size. As you can see, a flash makes a badge look quite different.
Here's a shot of the hinge and left rivet.....
