        Lieber Brian S,

Waterloo i am sure you are correct regarding admin people. But as we have seen with the RK admin people get RKs and swords so nothing is too surprising. An admin person taking a couple of fligjts and qualifies with exaggerated heroism. It most likely happened no matter how rare. But yes certainly the vast majority of cups went to warrors which makes them about the most desirable of awards.

For achiement in the air war!!!

Brian, I'd agree with your list here. Under the "kills" category I also look at what - planes, tanks, ships, etc IMO.

            An absolutely not exhaustive list of examples;

            Silver versus Alpaks
            Pilot versus ROAG or other
RK winner: Oakleaves? Swords? How won?
            DK winner
            Night Fighter
            Stuka
Fighter and now did he have kills? How many?
            East front/West front/Afrika/Mediterranean...
Photos of winner with Pokal or easily available
            Spange: What level
Pokal condition: Alpaka worn off? Dented badly? This might not even be a factor depending on the "who".

This isn't meant to be exhaustive its meant to convey there is no easy answer. If you find an Alpaka Pokal to an unknown engineer with no silver loss you can probably get an easy answer, beyond that, there is no formula.

I do not have a Pokal yet but when i do i hope i can afford one that belonged to a pilot with a little bit of history to go with it it would not matter if it is Alpaca or Silver but i would like it to be in reasonable condition, but at the end of the day it is each to his own.

So HERE you go! Finding a complete grouping like this is a dream find. Look at all the documents, pokal condition, etc. It's several dollars but is it expensive? Is it cheap? Add up all those documents and value them separately and in my opinion it's a great deal.

Look at all the cased awards! A Deumer cased Observrer... DKIG... All the Spangen.

But here, you have a price!

That is a bloody fantastic collection but I would hazard an amateurs guess it is at the expensive side even if it is comprehensive. I can't afford it anyway, well I possibly could, but the divorce would cost me a lot more when my wife found out

The size of the grouping is not that important to me.
I would prefer to have one at least to win a KC or higher. Condition is not important too.

                            KC group with honor goblet

Apparently there are very few RC groups with honor goblet. Those with honor goblet in silver are already extremely rare.

I am not sure why but I can probably count the number of RKT honor goblets I have seen for sale over the past several years on less than 2 hands and most of them were posthumous awarded RKs. Of those RKT goblet recipients there seemed to be an even distribution among, bomber, fighter and recon pilots.

I would think that one would see more honor goblets attributed to RKTs for sale/in collections.

Document groups KC and honor goblet holder

There are enough RK honor goblets without a document group. The deciding factor is that the documents on the honor goblet are also available, such as: VB KC, certificate of the honor goblet, aircraft license plate, front wing clip, EK 1, EK 2, German Cross, etc.
