honor goblet value

No doubt on the goblet's authenticity (some have been found after WWII without been engraved) but I don't believe in the goblet given by Hitler considering that it was one of Goering's privileges to award it to flyers. IMO post war engraving on this one. If you can't get a proof from Mölders 'family that this one really existed it is a more than dangerous buying considering the price I suppose it would be sold for.

I am in agreement with you there Pierre, Nice original Goblet but I would be very wary of the inscription being original unless it came with cast iron provinance.
Is the goblet silver or Alpaca?

I have the opportunity to buy a 1942 dated silver (835) pokal to a radio operator oberfeldwebel. The document is present as are all his other documents, but none higher than 1st Class iron Cross. There are 5 flight log books. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for a 1942 silver bomber crew goblet and documents. My other goblets are for pilots and I am not sure there is much demand for crew members goblets.

In Europe I guess such a group would cost you around 8,000 Euros from one of the big dealers if all the certificates are there plus the logbooks.

This group is $12,000.00 so I guess it is out of the proper price range. I guess I would rather wait for Knight's Cross winner pokals. I just have never had a group with all the documents.

At that price I think one would expect the grouping to include a DKiG certificate and some nice photos to make the value stretch a bit further. The fact it is an 835 silver goblet helps the value a bit over an Alpaka type but I would look to negotiate the price down a couple of thousand unless there is something particularly interesting about the recipient to justify the price.
