I can recognize Juncker eagle because of the very specific way how Jucker workers were hand finishing them, however i was wondering, why JMME was fooling around with their maker mark? Was it random or maybe was this done on purpose?...

I have the same question in my mind as well, but I guess it was done on purpose. maybe...... I guess....that would be easier to distinguish.

Well,I think IMME and Jmme are the same..,there's a quite unknown typical Imme pilotbadge with the open space between the claws which is marked IMME,no Juncker pattern or parts involved..,quite rare,think I only saw 4 or 5 sofar.
As far as we know these are genuine.
The eagle on that one could be a sister of the typical Jmme RO/AG eagle..same pattern head and typical claws..,probably designed by the same person IMO.
and then there's the Jmme & Sohn stamp ofcourse..,maybe there're 2 versions too,but I didn't go that far..
Let's find out...

With 7 pages of posts and 830 views I guess we generated enough noise about JMME made badges. Now their value easy will go up @ Detlev by 10%!.....

Yes, let's not overlook that '68'. If the eagle portends to be Buntmetal, that 68 creates a big conflict for me. If the eagle is Kriegsmetal, then the 68 could fit in the timeline of the late war Junckers. BUT, the SW68 , appears on the Juncker zink Flaks and Air Gunners. Have we ever seen an authentic example Juncker pilot badge before with the SW68?

About the 68...,once there was a switch to feinzink/kriegsmetal and the 68 mark was introduced...
Could it have been that some buntmetal badges were stamped with that mark first ?
I've seen a few stamps in buntmetal badges..,I don't know what to think..,those badges looked rather good..
I know,some don't like the stamp at all,this makes it more complicated..

The 68 mark appears to be on a J2 which by current theories is too early.
I don't have a problem with the 68 mark on zinc badges that are otherwise correct. This one looks good to me.....if the mark is the same as the double marked badge then.....??Attached Files

I can't believe all those 68 stamping in buntmetal badges was done postwar..,it's the right stamp in the right badge but the wrong combination..,plus it's not easy to stamp a completed badge..!
The double marker that is..
If there were Assmann badges with the 68 mark I would say yes,wrong choice,but all was done in Juncker badges..
If it would mean the whole badge is fake then,then there's a problem..
Without that mark or with the right mark this would mean we've a genuine badge,'cause it looks right..except for the mark..
