I also think the Juncker mark was stamped after the IMME. Tough to see on pics because of the different size of the stampings. Hopefully, the badge will reappear some day into one of our hands.

        Lorenzo,

Magnification helped. I certainly agree that to be plausible (authentic), the Juncker must be on top. No doubt about that. The specific areas you 'circled' show Juncker on top.

I realize that more magnification will create more digital noise, but can you 'bring up' the IMMI 'I', and the first vertical strike of the first IMME 'M'?

        Regards,
        Mark

This is a great thread and I am reading it with interest.

Threads such as this would be a real wakeup call to those ignorant individuals who dismiss Third Reich badge collectors as an unthinking, loutish bunch with double digit IQs.

            I applaud your efforts!

Bigger, that's for damn sure.......... The middle horizotal arm of the Berlin 'B' appears to be poking through the right side of the IMME 'I'. But looking at the top and bottom of the 'B',where they begin the arc, I just cannot see whether it's over or under the 'I'. And the left vertical stroke of the 'M' falls between the Berlin 'E' and 'R'. And from what I can make out, The IMME left 'M's stroke may be over the Berlin 'R's leftmost vertical strike. I am still staring at that right now. Wish I just had the badge and my loupe.

                Guys,
Was this badge sold here on e-stand?

Look how the bottom portions of the "C.E" clearly override the top portions of the "I" and the left leg of the "M". This effect could only result from the Juncker mark being applied on top of the "IMME". If the IMME was applied over the Juncker mark, then those lower portions of the "C.E." would be blotted out.

Hi Robert. No...it was on Kai Winkler's site. I thought the badge might be good at the time he listed it, but the "double-mark" made it too questionable to cough up the big bucks he was asking,

I am having second thoughts now. If the badge is good, then it could be a "key" link in making the Juncker-JMME connection.

                        Hi Lorenzo,
Thanks for this info. I was quietly hoping that maybe badge was sold here and we can have access to her and chance to take high resolution pictures. But I was wrong...
I agree with you, that if original, this badge may hold a key to the Juncker - JMME mystery...
Also when talking about Juncker/JMME gang at some point we should add Deumer to this mix as well. I was closely examining one Deumer Pilot badge today and eagle on it was finished much more gently then by Juncker workers, but it was one badge only, if i could check 10 Deumers in a row, then i would be ready to make assumptions, unfortunately these Deumers are not very popular...

Hi Guys, reading your threads with interest,I am from over the other side(Imperial Forum) but just thought you would like to know that I have a 1920's Luftschiffer badge which is stamped with the Paul Maybauer crest and over stamped with C E JUNCKER. Looks like it was going on back then too!!!! Ferg1
