I was just answering Jan Arne on his sentence:
"And I have just seen one marked "935S" on back . Have not study that badge yet , only seen some poor pics of back on that Badge ."

Sorry for not making it more clear!

That's what we need here, clarity. Thanks for your willingness to state this information. This thread has been a great wealth of information on a badge not yet discussed. But clearly one of the most interesting!

        Hello!
Yes, Brian S, clarity is the word!
The Frontfighter badge was actually not very popular 15-20 years ago. Maybe because it lacked swastika?

During the late years there have been some extremely good reproductions around. That is why many prefer the "safe way out", just collecting the 100% proof item. That is in fact the one in silver, marked "830 S" and "W". The markings should be on the reverse/right side. Another item believed to be 100% correct, is also the one marked "830S" only, but on the back/in the lower middle.

All badges marked different then described are not regarded as originals. The needle should be thin, and with a solid "C"-catch.
Note that the needle in many cases broke, and was replaced. These badges are very rare, and Jan Arnes badge is a nice example of such one.

The badges with raised lettering on the reverse are usually replacement badges made in the 60s. These are also quite rare.

        B.

Thanks Björn, it's great to have you Northern Europe collectors join us! It's nice to hear your input. I always felt good about my badge, above, because it came directly from a Canadian Vet in B.C. But as with all these items, you still never know so having more input is very valuable.

And here is a Very Interesting variant of the "830S" + "W" "Frontkjempermerket" . This is the first and only Award marked this way I have seen with a Wide Straith pin .
Recipient received Award this way from the "Frontkjemperkontoret" . The Volunter stills alive and have confirmed this .

Badge is in Geir B: Collection .
