        Heer Flak and IAB

Let them stay at shop. Bad Heer Flak and bad IAB...the catch on the Flak badge is the "give away" and the IAB looks too soft...looks like lead. That's my opinion...save your $$$

Heer Flak is a common fake...

          Regards,

I would stay clear of this shop.

            Best Regards, fischer

Thanks everyone, I really was just hoping for the flak to be good but had some big doubts.
When I asked the shop assistant to look & take pics she said Oh yeah they are original trust me I think if I did that I would have heaps & heaps of fakes in my collection by now

              Thanks again everyone

                Hi Adam,

I can only agree with the others, both fakes.

The Heer Flak is a 60s Souval fake.

                Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                  Agree

Both badges have the 1960's Rudolf Souval Catch type predominant on nearly all his Repros of the Era as Tom said. They both appear to be the lead based copies attributed to him too. Sorrythe Heer Flakker shows his awful rendition of Eagles Beak too

I have one like this Souval copy. Made from zink with the following parameters weight is 32.9grams, height is 59.6mm and the width is 44.2mm. Here is pics of this example. It looks very similar to RS war period example, but stamped L/58.
Tom, are you sure they were produced in 60xxx, mine looks like made from original die or from leftover stuff.
Not long time ago I read the Tom's article in the International medal collector magazine about Assmann's L/64 mark and Mr. Brucker 2007 interview with Friedrih Assmann, where Brucker asked Mr. Assmann about S&L and RS after war production " F. Assmann acted completely surprised that any company would have risked their business and livelihood to illegally produce a few war souvenirs after the war, by most accounts, leftover stocks of war time badges were still readily available and sufficient to supply the souvenir hunters for many years after the war" ©
So, may be famous Souval catch was added later on some leftover original badges?
Any useful information about Souval after war production I can find?

Gun is an S&L design but nothing else.

Edit: I hadn't read your post yet Andrei and I was replying to the original post.

You gun also has S&L features.
