That is a type of Army Flak badge I know. It also exists with a massive, filled in reverse and a seperately attached catch. Due to the specific pin, it can be speculated that the maker of this one is L/21, Foerster & Barth.
Hi David. I think your Flak badge has attributes of an F&B as Frank said. I just started a thread on F&B's. Note that your pin, although unmarked, shares attributes of other known F&B pins. Also interesting that your semi-hollow design is the same as Frank's General Assault badge, and that the catch is near identical to the marked Destroyer badge and U-Boat badge. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=34989
PS...I should have asked sooner....Is your pin "buntmetal"?

Hello,
I have been following this thread with great intrest as the badge listed for an example on the pages of this website seems to have a seldom encountered head detail? I was hoping one of the primary posters on this subject would comment, is this an unmarked L 56 MARKED...FUNK & BRUNINGHAUS? I am using again the head detail for the link. I apologize for not being able to post the image from this site for an example.
