Touched ou untouched, these photos cant´change the fact that shameful actions (to say the least) against jews (and various other people) were taken by german troops behind the lines.

    That´s the point.

      Hi again, guys !

I have no doubts about the crimes committed by Germans (as a whole, not only soldiers). I only want to state, that most oft the other involved nations - more or less - did suche things too (if not in this, than in another war). The problem for me is, that everybody in the world is only talking about OUR crimes - the others never seem to have happend or seem to be the "answer" to our deeds. And that is NOT true !

Ignoring the unqualified answer of Dennis I'm glad to see, that not everybody in this thread has become a victim of the own "allied reeducation". History is not as easy as some people believe... but it's always easy to throw the first stone !

Kind regards (and I hope You all will enjoy Your hobby also in the future),

      Peter

Disturbing images in this post, but I think they are very useful to keep some hearts and minds in a safe distance from the beautiful artifacts that we collect.

        Cheers,

IMO, these images simply show who people (in their majority) really are, and how cruel they can easily be to each other.. Shame in my book

              Peter!
I will tell Joseph's son when I email him that a fellow forum member said I was unqualified to tell the story about his dad getting his hands cut off with a "Guillotine" by the nazi army. That's what I said a "Guillotine".My family's and my Jewish friend Mrs Goldberg was beaten and raped by the SS in a camp untill the end of the war.The only reason they did not kill her is that she was very pretty and worked very hard in the camp. She was also in the camps band.At the end of the war they got that camp guard and sent him to HELL.I will make sure to call her and have her re-educate me on how she was treated in a NAZI SS work camp.

It seems to be OK if you criticise the Third Reich.

Well they certainly gave the world plenty of ammunition to criticise themselves with ... for at least a thousand years .. and no doubt things will remain the same for that period of time ....

The only thing that you can do is post stupid remarks, without contributing in a positive way, in most of the threads that you post in.
In your small, very small world, there is no grey. Only black and white.
You just jump in and try to make every thread (Dresden, Jochen Peiper, FJ RK winner, bandenkampf,...) ridiculous with your remarks.
In most cases, the threads are closed.

And, my friend, I'm not a closet national-socialist. My grandfather was in the Resistance and was decorated by the belgian gouvernement.
So, I'm some way, he did make the same sacrifice as your old man.
One difference, if my grandfather was caught, he was definatly shot or transported to Dachau orso.

i THINK whats hes saying is that how come British and american bombers crews didn't get the same type of awards as some circles state that the allied bombings were a war crime but the way i think of it is all sides bombed city's and towns so its a moot point! why? its just the allies did it on a big and better scale! again if people DO use that type of argument then what about the v weapons or was that ok cos it was the "baddies" aka the Germans who where using them!

                                Really

I respect your grandfather, he was a brave man, and knew what he was fighting to stop ..

As for "Black and White" .. you are 100% correct. There are no "grey" area's when it comes Nazi oppression.
