This is regarding the GAB I have on the e-stand. It is made by the same manufacturer as 1.28.1 Unknown maker #11 on pages 300-303 of Frank's GAB Book.

A question of whether or not the catch has been replaced, or perhaps just something about the catch may not be quite right, has been raised. Specifically, the brightness of the finish surrounding the catch is the issue.
If you compare all the hardware on my badge to that shown in the photos in Frank's book, they are a match. There is a variation with the placement of the catch. The hinge and catch have been attached very neatly and are very secure on the badge.
The area around the catch is definitely brighter, as are areas around the hinge (left side and below the catch on back of the eagle's head). I honestly did not give it a second thought when I purchased the badge, but since the question has been raised I thought I would throw it out for some opinions.
I'll show the badge and some close-up photos of the hinge and catch.
