              Hello guys,

              Dear Laurence,
              such situations is better to inspected on hand, according from the pics you posted i believe that is a silver and not gold. Usually the gold silver or black traces of the color when found arround the catch and hinge are on worn badges when no color left on them. In your case silver color is applied on yours and i looked over the hinge photo and i saw that is a silver paint(plated probably) is applied over the 'gold' color that i believe is some kind of coat.

              I post another example of WB (different maker) that appearing a yellowish - gold finish, this doesn't mean that is a gold WB.

                      No confusion, I bought it as a silver and will keep it as a silver. Now all I have to do is buy a nice GWB
