the imperial batons are most impressive and Readers too with the filigree rope and what appearsto be aamber rings.
Doenitzs official baton resides in Shropshire reg museum. thus the one shown is perhaps the known copy number two...?

I was under the impression that Raeder's baton was at the Hamburg Maritime Museum alongside his uniform. Is the same as the one of the previous photos?

Using the Raeder and Donitz baton as an example, one can see the body shaft's velvet which has deep navy blue color as viewed at a straight angle. However, if viewed at an angle, it will show a lighter color.

Using Blomberg's baton as an example when viewed at straight angle, the velvet displays two different tones color mainly due to the velvet hairs not smooth out at certain areas.
