There are some more small features I noticed which could also be stated but I think feature A and the differences compared to type 1 should give enough to make a true identification of this type. Not to be confused with the 3rd type I will explain next time.

The measurements of my badge (tank only) are:

              Width:43.1 mm
              Height:17.5 mm

              and it is magnetic.

Of course it is a probability that a non-magnetic version exists. Please add information if you have any on this.

              regards,

              DJ

Yes, it******180;s the same version and made of Buntmetall, too.
And this is one of my TDB******180;s!

Please ask the next time, before you post it here.

Tank destruction badge packet of Moriz Hausch

Here is a image of the packet I spoke of earlier. I personally have not seen it before. The owner stated he recieved the packet with a TDB in it from the veteran who won it himself along with another medall. This action was confirmed by another collector. Other pictures show this satchel together with a type 1 TDB. I ask you fellow collectors what your experiences are with this packet so please share your information.

                            Tank destruction badge 2a

A variant of the type 2 TDB also exists. It has exactly the same dimensions and press quallity but is only different by one feature.
The difference occuring probably through a tooling of manufacturing manner, maybe even a different press mold was used. Anyway it is with no doubt a type 2 variant which I would like to refer to as the TDB type 2a.

                            Here it is

Here a picture of both types 2 and 2a together to compare. Notice the distance between the lower wheels on both, they have the same dimensions between 1st and 2nd wheels and 5th and 6th wheels. (just another feature of the 2nd type badge). Of course more features areto be seen but we should not reveal all (if you know what I mean .)

The type 2a is not a commonly found type.
